About the Office
Overview.
The Office of the Controller of Examinations is integral to the autonomous functioning of the institution and operates under the direct supervision of the Head of the Institution/Principal.
Its responsibilities include announcement of the academic calendar, collection of the examiner database, the end-semester examination timetable, preparation of question papers, conduct of examinations, evaluation of answer scripts, declaration of results and issuance of grade sheets.
End-semester examinations are conducted in November and April every academic year.
Additionally, the planning, execution and monitoring of Continuous Internal Assessment tests also fall under the purview of the Controller of Examinations.

Other Responsibilities of the Office
Beyond the conduct of examinations, the office also handles the following.
- Collection of student biodata at the time of admission
- Mapping of elective courses opted by students for the current semester
- Conduct of Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) tests for all UG/PG programmes
- Preparation of CIA exam schedule, hall allocation and seating arrangements
- Collection, printing and distribution of question papers for CIA tests from the respective departments
- Collection of practical examination schedules from departments
- Appointment of external examiners for practical examinations
- Monitoring of student attendance percentage during the semester
- Preparation of a panel of examiners for debarred/withdrawn students due to lack of attendance, from various institutions/universities
- Preparation of the semester-end examination schedule
- Appointment of hall invigilators, preparation of hall charts, seating arrangements, squad duty and chief superintendent
- Appointment of evaluators, chief examiners and chairman for answer script valuation
- Publication of semester results
- Conduct of paper seeing for both regular and arrear candidates of the respective semester
- Conduct of malpractice committee meetings and initiation of action, if any
- Publication of revaluation/review results
- Printing of grade sheets and consolidated grade statements
- Issuance of duplicate grade sheets/certificates
- Issuance of transcripts
- Conduct of graduation day and issuance of degree certificates

Examination Hall Discipline
Instructions.
Rules to be adopted by students during examinations.

A candidate entering the examination hall must possess the Identity Card issued by the Principal. Candidates without a valid ID card will not be permitted to write the examination.
- 2
Candidates should occupy their allotted seats at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination and maintain discipline and silence inside the examination hall. They must follow the instructions given by the Hall Superintendent before and during the examination.

Candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination. Similarly, candidates cannot leave the hall before 45 minutes from the commencement. Re-entry is strictly prohibited.

Candidates are expected to bring their own pens, pencils, erasers, geometry instruments, calculators and other permitted materials. Borrowing items from other candidates is not allowed.

Candidates should use only blue or black ink/ballpoint pens for writing the examination. Colour pens/sketch pens may be used only for drawing diagrams or charts.
- 6
Mathematical tables, statistical tables and other common handbooks will be provided on request and should be returned immediately after use without any markings. Personal handbooks/tables/charts required for a specific examination may be used only with prior permission from the Chief/Hall Superintendent.

Only non-programmable calculators are permitted inside the examination hall.
- 8
Candidates are strictly prohibited from possessing mobile phones, pagers, smart devices, communication gadgets or any paper containing printed or written material inside the examination hall.

Candidates should verify that they have received the correct question paper before beginning the examination. Any discrepancy must be reported immediately to the Hall Superintendent.

Candidates are not permitted to write beyond the prescribed examination time.
- 11
Rough work, if any, must be carried out only in the answer booklet. No separate rough sheet will be provided, and the rough work will form part of the answer script.

Candidates are not allowed to ask questions or seek clarifications from the Hall Superintendent regarding the question paper during the examination.

Candidates must not detach any page from the answer booklet or remove the main/additional answer sheets from the examination hall. Violation of this rule will attract disciplinary action.

Candidates should personally hand over the answer booklet to the Hall Superintendent before leaving the examination hall.

Candidates should write their Register Number only in the space provided on the first page of the answer booklet. Writing the candidate's name, appeals to the examiner, internal assessment marks or any identifiable marks is prohibited and will be treated as an attempt to influence the evaluator.

Students indulging in any form of malpractice during the examination will be reported to the Chief Superintendent. If found guilty, the Examination Disciplinary Committee will impose appropriate punishment.

Any letter, telegram, phone call or electronic gadget received for a candidate will not be communicated until the candidate has completed the examination.
- 18
Candidates who are unable to write due to temporary illness, and visually impaired candidates, may avail the facility of a scribe with prior permission from the Principal or the Controller of Examinations. The prescribed fee must be paid for each course.
- 19
Impersonation during the examination is a serious offence. The accused candidate will be handed over to the police authorities for investigation and further legal action.

Certificates & Records
Duplicate Certificate.
- A Duplicate Statement of Grade / Consolidated Statement of Grade will be issued only when the original certificate is lost or irretrievably destroyed.
- The application must be submitted only by the candidate, in the prescribed format, and addressed directly to the Controller of Examinations. Applications submitted by any other person on behalf of the candidate will not be accepted.
- The application should be complete in all respects. Incomplete applications or incorrect information may result in a delay in issuing the duplicate certificate.
- The prescribed fee should be paid at the College Office.
- Fees once paid are non-refundable and cannot be adjusted towards any other certificate under any circumstances.
- If the original Statement of Grade / Consolidated Statement of Grade is recovered after the duplicate has been issued, the duplicate certificate must be surrendered immediately to the College.
Documents to Enclose
- Affidavit typed on a ₹20 non-judicial stamp paper, duly executed before a Notary Public as per the prescribed format.
- Photocopy of the Statement of Grade / Consolidated Statement of Grade (if available).
- Demand Draft / Fee Payment Receipt.
- Non-Traceable Certificate issued by the Police.

The procedure for applying for an academic transcript typically follows these steps.

Visit the Examination Corner
- Visit the Controller of Examinations office.
- 2
Fill out the Transcript Application Form
- Collect the form from the Downloads tab of this page and provide: full name; registration/roll number; degree and department; year of graduation; contact information; number of transcript copies required; delivery address (if applicable).

Attach the required documents
- Copies of mark sheets/grade cards (if required)
- Degree certificate or provisional certificate
- Government-issued ID
- Passport copy (for international applications, if requested)

Pay the transcript fee
- Pay the prescribed fee at the designated bank/cash counter and keep the payment receipt.
- 5
Submit the application
- Submit the completed form along with the required documents and the payment receipt, in person.

Processing
- The office verifies your records and prepares the transcript. Processing time usually ranges from 3 to 7 working days.

Receive the transcript
- Collect it in person, authorise someone to collect it, or have it sent by post/courier.
Procedure for correction in a Statement of Grades / Consolidated Sheet.

Identify the error
- Check the document carefully for errors such as name or spelling mistakes, father's/mother's name, date of birth, register number, or any other printing error.

Obtain the correction application form
- Download the prescribed form from the Downloads tab of this page, or collect it from the Examination Office.
- 3
Fill out the application
- Clearly mention your personal details, registration/roll number, programme and year of study, details of the error, and the correct information to be printed.
- 4
Attach supporting documents
- Original Statement of Grades / Consolidated Sheet
- Copies of semester mark sheets (if applicable)
- Government-issued ID (Aadhaar card) or proof supporting the correction
- Any other documents (SSLC, HSC mark sheet)
- 5
Pay the prescribed fee
- Pay the correction fee through the approved payment method and retain the receipt.
- 6
Submit the application
- Submit the completed application, supporting documents and fee receipt to the Controller of Examinations.
- 7
Verification and processing
- The office verifies the request against official academic records. If approved, a corrected Statement of Grades / Consolidated Sheet is issued.
- 8
Collect the corrected document
- Receive the corrected document in person or by post/courier.

Typically 7–10 working days, depending on the nature of the correction.
