Aims of NCC

Four aims. One Corps.

    Create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth.

  2. 02

    Provide leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the nation.

    Provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

Eligibility · Senior Division

  1. 1. Maximum 23 years of age as on date of enrolment
  2. 2. Height — Boys 5'10" / Girls 5'4"
  3. 3. Should be a 1st or 2nd year UG student
  4. 4. Citizen of India or subject of Nepal
  5. 5. On the rolls of the College
  6. 6. Not convicted of offence involving moral turpitude
  7. 7. Not previously dismissed from NCC, TA or Indian Army
  8. 8. Not member of any anti-national organisation
  9. 9. Of good moral character
  10. 10. Meets MoD physical-fitness standards (Mar 1949 GoI norms)

Physical Examination

Medical fitness check by the unit medical officer.

Physical Efficiency Test

Run, push-ups, sit-ups & long jump per NCC standards.

Written Examination

General awareness, current affairs & aptitude.

GD & Personal Interview

Group discussion + interview with the ANO & CO.

Merit List

Composite score across previous stages.

07

Final Selection

Selection list released by the affiliated unit.

Enrolment Form

Submit enrolment form with required documents to the ANO.

Drone Camp

Cadet Chai Charan attended the Drone Camp, taking both hands-on flying and simulator classes.

21 July – 3 August 2026

Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Camp

K.Ramakrishnan College of Technology · 550 cadets

The national-level camp was held on the KRCT campus, with 550 cadets from 17 directorates taking part. The Uttar Pradesh directorate won the overall championship.

Commodore Nambiath Sudeep, Deputy Director General of the NCC Directorate for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar, was chief guest and distributed the prizes.

Shirdi Saibaba Temple, Samayapuram · 30 cadets

Thirty cadets of 2 (TN) Armd. Sqn. NCC, Trichy unfurled the National Flag at the South Shirdi Saibaba Temple in the run-up to Independence Day.

22 April 2025 · NCC Unit Raising Ceremony

A new NCC Army Wing was inaugurated at K.Ramakrishnan College of Technology, Samayapuram, by Col. Neeraj Uniyal, Officer Commanding, 2 (TN) Armd Sqn NCC, Trichy. 200 attended.

22 May 2025 · Cadet Selection

65 candidates appeared and 18 were selected for enrolment. The selection process comprised running, medical fitness and an interview.

17 June 2025 · ANO’s Conference

Col. Y. Vijayakumar, Group Commander, Trichy and Col. Neeraj Uniyal, Officer Commanding, addressed the activities planned for the year 2025–26.

2 – 11 July 2025 · TSC cum CATC Camp

The Combined Annual Training Camp was conducted by 2 Armd Sqn NCC at KRCT. 500 cadets, boys and girls, from 15 schools and 6 colleges across Trichy took part.

7 July 2025 · Obstacle Training Area

A newly established obstacle training area for NCC cadets was inaugurated by Col. Y. Vijayakumar, Group Commander, Trichy.

29 September 2025 · Clean India Activity

36 cadets cleaned Echampatti Village and took part in an accompanying awareness rally.

7 November 2025 · 150th Vande Mataram

146 cadets from KRCT, K.Ramakrishnan College of Engineering and Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University celebrated the 150th Vande Mataram event at KRCT.

26 November 2025 · Constitution Day

Constitution Day was observed at KRCT with 36 NCC cadets and 58 students of the college participating.

2 December 2025 · National Pollution Control Day

36 cadets joined an awareness rally and cleaning drive at the Pullampadi canal, Mannachanallur.

6 February 2026 · Piping Ceremony

The piping ceremony for Lt. Dr. R. Madavan, Associate NCC Officer, was held at 2 (TN) Armd. Sqn. NCC, Trichy.

6 March 2026 · Drug Awareness Cycle Rally

The Army Wing organised a cycle rally on the theme “Drug Awareness – Say No to Drugs”, running from KRCT via No.1 Toll Gate, Thalakudi, Valadi, Lalgudi, Puvalur and Marudhur, finishing at Samayapuram. Flagged off by Samayapuram Police Inspector Mr. R. Dhandayuthabani.
