About

A Section 8 company, born to commercialise ideas.

KR-SIIF was incorporated on 31 October 2023 as a Section 8 not-for-profit, formalising what KRCT's Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC-KRCT, inaugurated 29 January 2014) had been doing for nearly a decade — bridging the gap between industry and academia. In 2024, the institute was recognised as an MSME Host Institute — bringing structured grant pipelines and product-development infrastructure to student founders.

Vision

To build a vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem that inspires creative thinking, technological advancement and sustainable startup development for societal and economic growth.

Mission

  • Nurture innovative ideas and transform them into successful startups.
  • Provide mentorship, infrastructure, technical support and business guidance for entrepreneurs.
  • Encourage collaboration between academia, industry and research organisations.
  • Promote entrepreneurial skills, leadership and self-employment among students and innovators.
  • Support startups in achieving scalability, sustainability and market success through continuous incubation.
