On March 1st, 2024, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at K. Ramakrishnan College of Technology, Trichy, hosted the much-anticipated FESTRONIX-2024. This intercollege event brought together budding engineers from various institutions. Organized by the dedicated Mrs. R. Bhavani, Assistant Professor of ECE, the event saw enthusiastic participation from around 106 students. It was a memorable day filled with learning, competition, and camaraderie.

FESTRONIX-2024 provided a platform for students to showcase their technical prowess and innovative thinking. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at K.Ramakrishnan College of Technology (KRCT), recently hosted a transformative Faculty Development and Training Program on “CEC 341 – MICs and RF System Design.” Sponsored by the Centre for Faculty and Professional Development, Anna University, Chennai. This six-day event took place from February 26 to March 2, 2024.

This Faculty Development and Training Program aimed to equip faculty members with the latest knowledge and skills in MICs and RF system design. Further, nearly 35 participants from various engineering colleges in and around Trichy attended, eager to expand their expertise in this specialized field.

The Faculty Development and Training program was meticulously organized by Dr. S. Syedakbar and Mrs. G. Revathi, Assistant Professors in the ECE department at KRCT. So, their dedication ensured a seamless experience for all attendees, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.

Electronics and Communication Engineering: April to June 2023 Quarterly Students and Faculty Events Conducted

Campus Activities

  • Mr. S. Dhaneeshwar and Mr. S. Arun Kumar conducted Peer learning classes for IV/ECE for the students of III/ECE.
  • Subsequently, the III ECE students were recognized for their achievements as they received certificates in the TN Skills Programme on May 6, 2023.
  • Further, on May 9, 2023, an awareness program titled “MANJAPPAI” was organized by KRGI and the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board. Students and faculty members from the ECE department actively participated in the event.
  • On May 13, 2023, a peer learning session on “Business Canvas Modelling” was conducted by Ms. J. Jodeena along with Pushpa and Mr. A. Keerthivasan from II/ECE.

Innovating Activities by Faculty
  • The Department of ECE, in collaboration with coreEL Technologies from Bangalore, organized a faculty skill training program on VLSI Design using Xilinx Vivado and Mentor Graphics on June 13 and June 15, 2023.
